Contains:
1. 2 x LiteStand Extra Large LS-B2320Y
2. 1 x BackDrop Pole DP-B412
3. 1 x Carry Bag DP-SHDBSSBAG
Instructions for Set Up
For use with a backdrop designed to slide over the pole, like a
muslin or paper roll.*
1. Extend pole to the length desired (note that it does not lock
in place at any length).
2. Slide the backdrop over the pole or push pole through the
core of the backdrop sleeve. One of the T-knobs at the
ends of the pole may need to be removed temporarily to
allow the pole to fit in the sleeve of your backdrop.**
3. The pole should extend a few inches on each side of the
backdrop.
4. Open each LiteStand base such that the braces are parallel
to the floor. Figure 1
5. The center column of the LiteStand has a T-knob at the
very bottom of the pole where these braces connect.
For normal use with a muslin or drape style backdrop, this
is best left tightened at the very bottom of the pole so it
does not touch the ground. Figure 2
For use with heavy paper rolls, this center column can
be adjusted to rest on the floor for added stability.
Note: If the center column is tightened while resting on
the floor, the LiteStand will not be able to collapse when
packed. It is necessary to loosen the bottom T-knob and
slide the brace collar all the way to the bottom at floor
level in order to successfully collapse the LiteStand legs.
Figure 3 and 3a
6. Attach BackDrop Pole to the top of each LiteStand. Back
out the T-Knob at each end of the BackDrop Pole
sufficiently to allow pole to fit over the top brass stud of
the LiteStand. Figure 4 The stud should be left in the
position where it is pointing up. The stud is removable to
allow for other configurations when this stand is used for
other functions not related to the BackDrop Pole.
7. Raise each LiteStand equally to the height desired.
* Skip step 2 for applications not requiring the background pole
to be inserted into the backdrop.
** Alternately for fabrics with out a sleeve, “A” style clamps can be
used to secure draped fabric to the backdrop pole. You can
nd them at most any hardware store. Figure 5
